Perched on the hilltops of the Northern Illawarra plateau in a sweet little suburb called Helensburgh Amanda Skye Mulder’s home studio.
Amanda draws her inspiration from the beautiful hues and fine details found in our native wildlife and flora, in particular birds. For Amanda, it is about seeing the magic in nature guided by the energy and soul of the natural world.
While being heavily associated with the avian art world, Amanda brings intuition into her pieces often adding abstract pops to her work.

BELINDA SCHRICKKER - Albury NSW
Belinda has always been creative at heart and over the years has dabbled in a few sketches and artworks, but nothing that she felt worthy to display for public viewing.
After a recent health scare and treatment, which has thankfully left her cancer free, Belinda gave herself the time to reconnect with her creativity and the beautiful colourful world of Watercolour. Her most recent artwork shows her emotional journey through her cancer treatment and she is now freely producing beautiful works of varied subjects.
She plans to experiment with a number of mediums and will be focusing on her art full time.
LISA FAHEY - Wollongong NSW
I am an artist based in Wollongong, NSW; I grew up here between the mountains and the sea. My passion lies in painting with bright and bold colours. Australian native animals, especially birds make up a lot of my inspiration, though my latest body of work is exploring flora. I like to accentuate the hints of colour I see within my subject matter. I love painting with a palette knife and I use mainly acrylic paints. I love to add texture to the canvas with deliberate strokes that give the subject matter definition without it always being obvious.
I am a full time artist working from my home studio. I try and paint almost every day in between looking after 2 school aged children, 3 cats, 2 dogs and 10 fish tanks, you may now get the idea why I am so inspired by animals. We also do a lot of camping with the kids and I find great inspiration from seeing new sights. I once read a quote that said 'The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul', I am not sure who said it, but it sure resonates with me and it has been a desire I have had my whole life, from winning my first colouring in competition at the age of 2, to the desire that still grows inside of me now. I can't imagine doing anything else for a living after I have been so fortunate to do so well these last few years.
I have been creating a series that I call ‘Out of the Grey’. The paintings are in support of someone very close to me who has publicly come out and I decided to do the series to show my support for them.
The idea is for the birds or animals to have the colours of the pride flag splashed proudly on them with a grey background as if they are coming out of the grey area that has been holding them back and coming out into the light/colour and feeling happy and proud of who they are.
REK - Brisbane QLD
REK is an established artist based in Brisbane, Queensland. His popular artworks draw inspiration from the beauty and intricate details found in the natural world, in particular he has become known synonymously as a realistic avian specialist.
While being closely associated with the world of birds, REK has also been recognised independently for his male figurative and organic inspired abstract works, both of which have been honoured with notable art prize nominations.
REK studied at the Brisbane Institute of Art and BPC Studio. His work has proliferated in recent years and is held in private and corporate collections from every corner of Australia and across the globe. His artwork has been commissioned for children’s books, appeared on Channel 10’s Healthy Homes Australia and has been a finalist in notable art prizes including The Brisbane Rotary Art Prize, Queensland Figurative, the Art Lovers Australia Art Prize and the Lethbridge 20,000 small scale art prize.
He is a member of the Queensland Wildlife Artist’s Society and was the People’s choice recipient for the Societies' 2019 exhibition. In 2020 REK was the feature artist and guest judge at the Royal Queensland Art Societies' Biannual Exhibition "All Creatures and Wild Things" Held at Petrie Terrace Gallery.
On emerging REK committed to using his work to support and raise awareness for worthy causes. In the subsequent fifteen years he has donated dozens of paintings to raise funds for The Birdlife Australia Foundation, The RBWH foundation, Children’s Hospital Foundation and The Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation to name just a few.
SALLY EDMONDS - Perth, WA
I live in the hills behind Perth. I’ve been a full time artist since 2015 and I love birds! My work is highly detailed and colourful and I create in pastel, watercolour and acrylic.

They are survivors from a time before time. They are not bound to the earth. I live with birds and they
fill my life with joy (and chew my stuff)! I love to create detailed images of birds so that the observer cannot miss a single aspect of their beauty."
The most important thing for me is to bring the individual character of each bird out in my artwork.

Taralea is a self-taught artist from The Whitsundays, North Queensland, Australia. Taralea draws inspiration from her tropical surroundings, The Great Barrier Reef and her deep love of the ocean.
Taralea's vibrant, dreamscape like visions of the Reef mesmerise and captivate the viewer. Combining techniques learned over a lifetime of experimentation in her studio, each painting is created layer by layer using detailed brushwork, acrylics and oils that Taralea prepares herself, ensuring a unique work of art.

I've been painting since I was 8 years old. Growing up in an Asian-Australian family, I followed custom and did an Accounting and Finance degree before entering the business world, taking on a number of roles in corporate finance and innovative startups. But I soon realised that I can, should and must make my own way in the world as the most expressive version of myself possible.
I drive a hot pink car, but being the centre of attention Freaks. Me. Out. Creating art is as much a part of my own personal therapy and journey to confidence and self-love as it is about painting for others. It is my mission to inspire a community of explorers of the self and soul, who support each other as we grow and become who we are meant to be. You will see these pops of colour throughout my work as well.
I believe that when we show up in the world as the most authentic version of ourselves, we free others to do the same. Exploration, freedom, self-empowerment and joy are some of my strongest values, and are reflected in every piece I create.
