Alana Douvros is inspired by the natural abundance of beauty created by the earth. She studied her craft at California College of the Arts and received her BFA in ceramics with a parallel focus on Jewellery Metal Arts.
Many of her designs are derived directly from nature, whether it be a raw uncut gemstone, a fossil, or a seashell. Much of the lapidary work (the art of cutting and polishing stone) in ADJ designs has been done by the artist herself as the connection between artist and material is integral to her work.
Alana Douvros is currently living and working in Sydney, Australia where she creates sterling silver and 14k gold filled jewellery that incorporates natural elements in perfect harmony with geometry and nature.

If there’s one thing you take away from Leonie Simpson’s playful, understated body of work - it’s this: Object as Art.
Leonie launched her brand right after graduating The Design Centre, where she worshipped at the altar of dual deities; jewellery and object design. Now she makes contemporary jewellery for the everyday person; unassuming yet meaningful design with a focus on wearability. What’s most compelling about Leonie’s work is her approach to the melding of the traditional and contemporary. With panache, of course. Not one to shy away from the impossible, we return to the idea of object as art, and therein lies the ethos of Leonie’s work as a designer and creator. Using traditional methods, like wax carving; Leonie’s intention is an exploration, an enquiry of the intersections of tradition, culture and craft. There’s a space inside of this that is minimalist, refined and unpretentious - and this is the space that the work assuredly occupies. Stone and metal and material, sculpted and designed to respond to the unique movements of the human body.
LITTLE HURRICANE CO. - Melbourne VIC
Little Hurricane Co. is a Melbourne-based, handmade jewellery label, established in 2017 by Liat Galon.
After spending 20 years in the corporate world, Liat was surprised to find that becoming a mother brought out her creative side; and rather than returning to IT Project Management as her children grew older she turned her hobby into her work.
Liat creates all of the Little Hurricane Co. lines in her home studio and works with only environmentally sound materials, such as eco-resin, which is a petroleum free, bio-based product.
Liat often collects the botanicals from her garden or from the bush on the outskirts of the city and then carefully presses and dries each one, ready to be preserved into delicate, ephemeral, wearable art. Each piece is meticulously crafted and can take 5-7 days to make from start to finish – from the foraging, to the casting, to the moulding, to the final polish.

At home on the far south coast of NSW just north of the small coastal town of Tathra, my studio is surrounded by the beautiful Australian spotted gum bush. My work reflects a passion for nature in which each design blossoms the fluidity from the natural environment.
The combination of silversmithing and woodworking skills creates a contemporary Jewellery style. Each piece is handmade by me in my off- grid studio using recycled sterling silver and ethically sourced hardwoods.

Katrina began making her own jewellery as she found she couldn’t wear most earrings found in fashion stores due to her sensitive ears. After a lot of time researching, testing materials and techniques, all Wild July earrings are lightweight and hypoallergenic, perfect for those with sensitive ears like Katrina.

Hayley started her little handmade business, Willow + Blossom Collection three and a half years ago.
What started out as a bit of a creative outlet and hobby had quickly become a full time job.
Being a mum to 2 school aged kids, she and her husband recently moved their family back to suburbia after 8 years in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Hayley absolutely loves being her own boss and being able to be there for her kids.
She loves working with earthy, neutral tones and loves a simple, elegant pair of earrings. The whole Willow + Blossom Collection is handmade by Hayley with so much love and care.
