The Woollen Earth is a ridiculously luxurious range of extremely chunky Pure Australian Merino Wool fashion pieces and decor for your home. It’s one designer and maker Sally, has always loved working on a big scale from big artworks to 15years of making couture wedding dresses. It was while she was travelling with her young family that she learnt how to crochet. This inspired her and she spent a lot of time trying to source the biggest, finest Australian Merino Wool. Sally found the best quality and took her crochet designs to the next size level. She made her parents an oversized chunky bed throw. People’s reaction to it was undeniable. And she loved working with this amazing fibre.
But coming from a fashion background her designs naturally took a turn towards fashion. She became known for her Statement Scarves and then Crazy warm Beanies, Hoodies and other unique creations, all her own designs and patterns, all made using her husband’s hand-carved Giant Crochet Hooks (from Gum Branches!) Truly an Aussie product through and through!
And as the creative mind can never stay still for long, Sally loves continually coming up with new products, including D.I.Y. Kits to make your own scarf, and a whole range of beautiful products for Christmas decorating. Three + One was established in 2019, by creator & knitter Victoria Roberts in the small country town of Childers QLD. The label name was inspired by her 3 sons & 1 daughter.
Victoria handcrafts with high quality fibres & materials and specialises in modern textured beanies & scarves for all ages.
Always creating over the years with drawing, painting & sewing, the special skill of knitting was passed on to her by her Grandma Joy as a teen. Victoria picked up knitting again during her pregnancy with her daughter, and it has now become so much more with a lot of love going into each piece for others to enjoy.
