GRACIE KEAL - Melbourne VICHello! I’m Cian Cottee, Designer-Maker of Gracie Keal. After studying Printed Textile Design in my homeland of England, I decided it was time to light my own path and in 2015 I moved to Melbourne and launched Gracie Keal. It’s no surprise that at the bottom of my bag for that fateful journey was a matted bunny that I’ve shared a bed with since my late teens. That’s what it’s all about for me - having a little furry someone that you just can’t make that journey without. Someone who’s always there, no matter what. With an affection for colour, shape, and rummaging through people’s musty, old treasures, I was always destined to arrive at this space. I’m a collector and I’m fascinated, and totally swept up by the connection people make with things, particularly cloth. All the fabrics featured in the Gracie Keal Collection were once adored and lived by someone else before they found new life in my small Melbourne studio. When you choose a Gracie Keal doll, you inherit the story that led them to here, and for me, that’s just magic. We don’t make just any doll. It’s a slow and patient process. Every phase of design and creation is considered and dedicated to honouring traditional, ethical, and environmentally responsible practices. Buying Gracie Keal, you’re making more than just a friend; you’re making a difference, supporting a small business that’s stubbornly true to its values.

KEIKI FOLK - Coffs Harbour, NSWAdelle from sunny Coffs Harbour, NSW, came from a long line of creative women and grew up with handmade being taught by her mother and grandmothers.. . . ‘Established in 2015 as Sew Contented Handmade; in Nov 2020 we rebranded as Keiki Folk, meaning little one in Hawaiian. This resonated with me as you’ll hear me call my kids my ‘little ones’ most days. I am a mum to two kids and a wife. We are Aussie nature lovers having lived, travelled and taught (previous life I was a teacher) in the Northern Territory for 10 years. We are an eco-minded, ethical business taking great care in our choices of materials used and products we stock. We choose as many Australian sourced and made items as we can and a large majority of suppliers are women owned businesses. We are powered largely by solar, package your orders with recycled materials and upcycle our fabric offcuts to minimise wastage.
